Thursday, September 16th: DYP Presents an Evening with Barry Demp!
Please join us at Mon Jin Lau for a motivating night with professional coach Barry Demp. Barry will be reviewing his “Success Best Practices” and giving some great tips and tools you can use to help advance your career or personal lifestyle. Thursday, September 23th: DYP Presents: Women and Leadership
Join us for a fun and informative event on Women and Leadership. Dr. Patricia Bernard recently did a study on women in leadership positions, the unique challenges they face and how they solve this problems. This is must-attend event for any young professional women currently holding or seeking leadership positions. It is also a must-attend event for men who work with or manage women in leadership positions. This event will truly… open your eyes.
Dr. Patricia Bernard knows first had what it mean to be in a leadership position, she currently holds a TACOM a division of U.S. Army. She is Lean Six Sigma certified. Dr. Bernard has an energetic personality. Dr. Bernard is a mother of three handsome boys Paris Bernard, Julian, and Joseph Bernard. She is also a real estate broker and owner of Hope Realty.
Looking to network and have fun? Well our “Secret Network Exchange” is your answer. We will introduce you to the young professionals who will be attending the event. You will learn a little information about each other, then you two will meet in person at the event! We will be awarding prizes to people who remember the most about their “Secret Professional”.

Saturday, September 25th: DTE Energy Gardens Community Service
Please join DYP as we team up with the Gleaners Community Food Bank to harvest, water, weed and prepare garden beds for next spring at the DTE Energy Gardens. To get involved, email geraine.whiteside@detroityoungprofessionals.org. 15 volunteers are needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
