Detroit Young Professionals (DYP) is bringing together movers and shakers from Detroit's business, civic and political communities to honor 10 remarkable innovators and changemakers at our 2009 Vanguard Awards gala. This annual affair was established to recognize and celebrate outstanding Detroiters who have distinguished themselves through professional leadership and service to our community.

Presented by Ambassador Magazine and hosted by FOX 2's Charles Pugh, the 2009 Vanguard Awards reception will take place on Thursday, March 5th at the historic Cliff Bell's jazz restaurant in Downtown Detroit. Attendees will enjoy a special awards presentation and networking afterglow with exquisite cocktails, a complimentary array of delectable heavy hors d'oeuvres, and live performances by the award-winning DJ powdrblu, Urban Organic and the acclaimed Vincent Chandler Quintet.
